“ Our favorite pho restaurant in San Diego. Thankfully we live near this place and there is always a wait. Call your order in so you can skip the line and enjoy the delicious broth at home in peace. They typically get your orders correct and they provide a number for easy pickup at the restaurant. Just walk inside to the cash register at the front and your order will most likely be ready already. They are also very good about not including cilantro if you are averse to it. After 20+ orders with them, I can attest that they've never forgotten. Something my spouse appreciates. Happy wife, happy life. ”

“ LOVE the service here! I was greeted by this uncle who poked fun at me for wanting to check out the inside while we waited. Ambience is typical Vietnamese restaurant. We loved that they seated us in the corner table. Then the waiter who served us was so smiley and attentive. My family and I tried pho, bun bo hue, and egg rolls. Pho was good but not outstanding (I think my standard is pretty high after eating at Phoholic in LA). Bun bo hue was very flavorful but a bit too salty. The only complaint is the pork hock in bun bo hue tasted old - I couldn't eat it. Egg rolls are also normal, not good not bad. Overall I would recommend if you're in the area but would not travel for it. Support the people who work there though, they are so nice! ”
“ This is long overdue. (Updated) Been here too many times to count now. Pho is consistently good, not the greatest there ever was, but very good. The service is super fast, the people working there are kind and respectful even when language is a barrier. They took my advice I left long ago about pricing on the iced coffee and such being too high (Starbucks pricing means less sales). Pho Thai 4.5/5 broth has improved (less cloudy) Vietnamese coffee 4/5 priced to sell, pretty good Pho Ga 4/5 serviceable; hit or miss on chicken tenderness and freshness. The environment was clean and the atmosphere average for noise and comfort. If you want an authentic setting for Vietnamese, you needn't go anywhere else. Overall 4.5/5 ”
“ Pho Cow Cali Express is definitely a solid choice for high-quality Vietnamese food. It's usually busy but the waitlist moves faster than you'd realize and it's absolutely worth the wait. The pho is flavorful, and it comes out to the table so quickly. The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. Plus, the prices are really affordable. I love that there are so many booths available here, it feels like you're enjoying a private, personal dining experience that's both homey and comfortable. A great place to take people. There's a big mural of San Diego on the wall that's really pretty too. This is just an awesome spot in San Diego. ”
